This past Monday night, VeeV Aça¨ª Spirit sponsored the First Annual Superfruit Challenge, a competition that pitted teams of New York City's best gay bar bartenders against each other to raise money for The Trevor Project. The event, hosted by the effortlessly fantastic Bianca Del Rio at Bar-tini Ultra Lounge, had the teams pour it out for four "Most Super" categories: costumes, bartender pick-up lines, trivia, and the all-important superfruit cocktail. Competition was close throughout, but BarTini's own TuttiFruitti team came out on top. The festivities continued well after the winner was announced, with a portion of the proceeds from VeeV cocktails further benefiting The Trevor Project.

It's not opening until next fall but details about New York's new gay-friendly (or hetero-friendly, as the developers call it) are starting to emerge. We don't know yet if the rooms will have peekaboo bathrooms, but up on the roof? A peekaboo pool!

If men are from Mars (as the book title goes), then on Mars men, gay and straight, are big into checking out each others' crotches. Actually, men on earth do the same thing. Thanks to new eye-tracking techniques we can see that men totally check out baseball players' crotches, whereas the ladies just go for the faces. (At right: The camera caught where men looked at a famous baseball player.)

When guys looked at a page full of George Brett's biographical information, they of course checked out the photograph. But what may surprise many is that their eyes were drawn to "private anatomy" and the face. And we thought all those male sports fans just had their eyes on one ball, not two. Now we have proof that even straight men are crotch watchers.
